project image

Hills, Valleys, Forests, Rivers and Tribes

Starting from central Assam we make our war east and north along the mighty Brahmaputra River. In essence making our way across the best of Assam and central as well as eastern Arunachal Pradesh. Covering the Brahmaputra, Subansiri, Lohit, Dibang and Lohit river valleys.

The ride offers a wide mix of riding /driving conditions, from well tarred highways, sandy tracks along the rivers to broken hills roads added to which a fickle local weather pattern. Enroute you will cross territories of a wide range of tribes on a daily basis. No two days are spent riding / driving the territory of the same tribe. Enroute you will indulge in Wildlife safari’s in Kaziranga National Park, visit the vaishnavite monastries at the Majuli river (The worlds largest river island) and cross the Brahmaputra via a series of ferry crossings among other things. One does require a good mastery of riding / driving to do this route.
